22:4a And he did evil in the sight of the LORD,

He did what displeased Yahweh

22:4b as the house of Ahab had done,

as the family of Ahab had done.

22:4c for to his destruction they were his counselors

He was destroyed because people from the family of Ahab became his advisers

Members of King Ahab’s family gave him advice that led to his own death

22:4d after the death of his father.
