Section 19:4-11

King Jehoshaphat appointed judges

19:4a Jehoshaphat lived in Jerusalem,

Jehoshaphat lived in Jerusalem.

King Jehoshaphat continued to live in Jerusalem.

19:4b and once again he went out among the people from Beersheba to the hill country of Ephraim

He visited the people of his country again from Beersheba to the hill country of Ephraim.
-or-
But he traveled ⌊throughout Judah⌋ from Beersheba ⌊in the south⌋ to the hill country of Ephraim ⌊in the north⌋. He went to the people of his country

19:4c and turned them back to the LORD,

He ⌊convinced them to⌋ return to Yahweh ⌊and worship him⌋.
-or-
and encouraged them to come back to Yahweh,

19:4d the God of their fathers.

Yahweh was the God of their forefathers.
-or-
the God their ancestors worshiped.
