18:29a And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat,

The king of Israel said to King Jehoshaphat,
-or-
King Ahab said to King Jehoshaphat

18:29b “I will disguise myself and go into battle,

“I will disguise myself when we go to fight,
-or-
that he would change his clothes before going to fight so that nobody would know who he was.

18:29c but you wear your royal robes.”

but you should wear your kingly robes.”
-or-
But he told Jehoshaphat to wear his king’s clothes.

18:29d So the king of Israel disguised himself and went into battle.

Then the king of Israel disguised himself and went to fight.
-or-
So King Ahab went to the battle wearing somebody else’s clothes.
