18:16a So Micaiah declared:

So Micaiah said to the king,

18:16b “I saw all Israel scattered on the hills

“⌊Actually,⌋ I saw the army of Israel scattered on the hills.

“⌊The truth is that Yahweh⌋ showed me all the soldiers of Israel running away into the mountains.

18:16c like sheep without a shepherd.

They were like sheep without a shepherd.

They looked like sheep that have no one to take care of them.

18:16d And the LORD said, ‘These people have no master;

And Yahweh said, ‘These people have no master.

⌊I heard⌋ Yahweh say about them, ‘These people have nobody to lead them.

18:16e let each one return home in peace.’”

Let them go home in peace.’”

They should return to their homes in safety.’”
