14:5a He also removed the high places and incense altars from all the cities of Judah,

In every town in Judah, he destroyed the sacred places on the hills and the altars for burning incense ⌊to other gods⌋.

King Asa’s workers removed the shrines on the hilltops and the places for burning fragrant spices to them. He removed them from every city in Judah.

14:5b and under him the kingdom was at peace.

While he was the king, Judah was at peace.

During his rule, the people of Judah lived in peace.
