12:16a And Rehoboam rested with his fathers

Rehoboam died and was buried with his ancestors.

12:16b and was buried in the City of David.

They buried his body in the city that David ⌊had conquered⌋.

His people buried him in ⌊the part of Jerusalem called⌋ the city of David.

12:16c And his son Abijah reigned in his place.
