Section 11:5-12

King Rehoboam built walls around the towns

11:5a Rehoboam continued to live in Jerusalem,

King Rehoboam stayed in Jerusalem.
-or-
King Rehoboam remained in Jerusalem.

11:5b and he built up cities for defense in Judah.

He built walls around the towns in Judah to protect Judah ⌊from their enemies⌋.

He turned the following towns in Judah into fortresses to guard his kingdom:
