SIL Translator’s Notes on 1 Kings 7:12

7:12a The great courtyard was surrounded by three rows of dressed stone

The large court had a wall around it. This wall consisted of three layers of cut stone
-or-
He had them construct the wall for the large courtyard ⌊around his house⌋ with three rows of stone blocks.

7:12b and a row of trimmed cedar beams,

and one layer made from beams of cedar wood.
-or-

For every three stone rows,⌋ there was also one row of pine planks/timber.

7:12c as were the inner courtyard and portico of the house of the LORD.

The inside courtyard of Yahweh’s temple and entryway was like this too.
-or-

They constructed⌋ the inner yard of Yahweh’s house and porch in a similar manner.
