4:31a He was wiser than all men—wiser than Ethan the Ezrahite,

Solomon was more knowledgeable than any human being, including/even the Ezrahite man named Ethan,

No one was his equal. He knew/understood more than even Ethan ⌊the wise man⌋, who was from ⌊the place called⌋ Ezrah,

4:31b and wiser than Heman, Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol.

and Heman, Kalkol, and Darda, Mahol’s sons.

and more than ⌊the wise men⌋ Heman, Kalkol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol.

4:31c And his fame spread throughout the surrounding nations.

He/Solomon was famous in all the nations around ⌊Israel⌋.

Even the people of the foreign nations around ⌊Israel⌋ learned/heard about him/Solomon ⌊and how wise he was⌋.
