3:27a Then the king gave his ruling: “Give the living baby to the first woman.

The Hebrew literally says, “Give to her the living baby.” The king quotes 3:26c-d.

The king said, “ ⌊She who says,⌋ ‘Give (plur) the living infant to her!

3:27b By no means should you kill him;
