2:39a After three years, however, two of Shimei’s slaves ran away to Achish son of Maacah, king of Gath.

However, after three years, two slaves belonging to Shimei ran away ⌊and took refuge with⌋ the king of Gath. The king ⌊at that time⌋ was Achish son of Maakah.

Three years passed. But then two of Shimei’s slaves escaped and went ⌊to stay with⌋ Achish who was the king of Gath and the son of Maakah.

However, at the end of three years, two of his slaves got free and went to the king of Gath, Achish the son of Maakah.

2:39b And Shimei was told, “Look, your slaves are in Gath.”

People/Men told Shimei, “Your ⌊runaway⌋ slaves are in Gath!”
