22:42a Jehoshaphat was thirty-five years old when he became king,

and he was 35 years of age when he became king.

Jehoshaphat became king when he was thirty-five (35) years old.

22:42b and he reigned in Jerusalem twenty-five years.

For 25 years he ruled as king in Jerusalem.

He ruled ⌊Judah⌋ for twenty-five (25) years. Jerusalem was his capital city.

22:42c His mother’s name was Azubah daughter of Shilhi.

The name of his mother was Azubah. She was the daughter of Shilhi.

Jehoshaphat’s mother was named Azubah and her father was ⌊named⌋ Shilhi.
