2:24a And now, as surely as the LORD lives—

By the life of Yahweh,
-or-
He said, “⌊I swear this⌋ in ⌊the name of⌋ the living/eternal Yahweh!

2:24b the One who established me, who set me on the throne of my father David,

who has put/placed me firmly on the throne where my father David sat/reigned,
-or-
Yahweh, who has given me the same full control of the kingdom ⌊of Israel⌋ as my father David had!

2:24c and who founded for me a dynasty as He promised—

and promised that my descendants/children will rule after me,
-or-
Yahweh, who, as he promised, has given me and my family line the authority to rule!

2:24d surely Adonijah shall be put to death today!”

today is the day that Adonijah will/must die!”
-or-
This very day I will ⌊certainly⌋ have Adonijah killed/executed!”
