So Ahab called for the administrator of the royal palace, a man named Obadiah.

So King Ahab sent for Obadiah, who was the manager/overseer of the king’s house/home.

Ahab asked to talk to the man he had put in charge of his house/palace. His name was Obadiah,

18:3b (Now Obadiah greatly feared the LORD,

(Obadiah greatly honored Yahweh.

This man, Obadiah, gave much respect/honor to Yahweh.

and he was a loyal/true follower of Yahweh.
