17:10a So Elijah got up and went to Zarephath. When he arrived at the city gate,

So then Elijah went to Zarephath. When he arrived at the gate of the town,

So Elijah obeyed and went/walked to Zarephath. At the entrance to the town

17:10b there was a widow gathering sticks. Elijah called to her and said,

there was the widow. She was collecting firewood ⌊for cooking⌋. Elijah called to her, asking,

he saw a widow collecting wood/sticks ⌊to burn⌋. He called to the woman,

17:10c “Please bring me a little water in a cup, so that I may drink.”

“Could you (sing) please bring me a small cup of water so that I can have a drink?”

“Please get/fetch (sing) a little water for me to drink.”
