16:31a And as if it were not enough for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat,

He did not think that it was a serious problem/sin to act in the same evil way as Nebat’s son Jeroboam.

As if doing the same evil things as Jeroboam were not bad enough,

16:31b he even married Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians,

He ⌊went/sinned further⌋ and married Jezebel daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians.

Ahab did more/worse. He also took/chose as wife a daughter of Ethbaal, the king of Sidon ⌊city⌋, named Jezebel.

16:31c and he then proceeded to serve and worship Baal.

Then he began to serve and worship the Baal ⌊idol⌋.

Ahab then became the servant of ⌊her⌋ ⌊false god⌋ Baal and began to worship him.
