14:24a There were even male shrine prostitutes in the land.

It is not certain if the Hebrew word that the New International Version translates as “male shrine prostitutes” refers only to men. It certainly included men but may have included women also.

Besides this, there in the land ⌊of Judah⌋ people/men did shameful/sexual acts to honor/worship these false/pagan gods.

And there men/people acted in a shameless/immoral way when they worshiped these idols.

14:24b They imitated all the abominations of the nations

The people of Judah did all the same abominable things as the people of the other nations
-or-
The people of Judah followed/practiced all these disgusting/hateful customs. They acted in the same way as the ⌊pagan⌋ peoples

14:24c the LORD had driven out before the Israelites.

whom Yahweh had long ago caused to leave the land so that the Israelites could live there.
-or-
whom God had sent/driven away from the land when the people of Israel arrived/entered.

14:24b-c (reordered)

The people ⌊who had lived in the land⌋ before the Israelites came had done these evil things too. And God had taken the land away from them ⌊and given it⌋ to the Israelites. But now the people of Judah were doing the same evil things.
