13:18a Then the prophet replied, “I too am a prophet like you,

The old prophet answered ⌊the man of God from Judah⌋, “I am a prophet like you.

The aged/elderly prophet said, “I am a prophet too.

13:18b and an angel spoke to me by the word of the LORD, saying,

And an angel gave/told me this message from Yahweh,

And I received a message from Yahweh concerning you. An angel told me

13:18c ‘Bring him back with you to your house, so that he may eat bread and drink water.’”

‘Bring the man of God back with you to your house so that he may eat bread and drink water.’”
-or-
to bring you back with me to my house so you can eat and drink. ”

13:18d The old prophet was lying to him,

(But the old prophet was lying to the man of God.)
-or-
(But the aged/elderly prophet was not telling the truth.)
