10:22a For the king had the ships of Tarshish at sea with Hiram’s fleet,

The king had large trading ships that sailed on the sea/ocean with the ships of ⌊King⌋ Hiram.

The king owned some large ships for trade by sea. ⌊King⌋ Hiram also had such ships, and their ships used to sail/travel together.

10:22b and once every three years the ships of Tarshish would arrive

Once in every three years the trading ships came back,

Every third year the ships sailed/came back ⌊to him/Israel⌋

10:22c bearing gold, silver, ivory, apes, and peacocks.

and they brought with them gold, silver, ivory, monkeys, and baboons.
