14:29a Two or three prophets should speak,

Similarly, only two or three prophets should speak,

And in the same way, when people declare God’s word, only two or three people should speak.

14:29b and the others should weigh carefully what is said.

and the other people should think carefully about what they say.

Then the believers should examine their message ⌊to know whether or not it is true⌋.
