12:8a To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom,

Some people are given, through the Spirit, ⌊the ability⌋ to speak wise words.

⌊God⌋ gives some of us, through the Holy Spirit, the gift of speaking wisely.

12:8b to another the message of knowledge by the same Spirit,

Some people are given, through the same Spirit, a message that tells/communicates knowledge.

⌊He gives⌋ to some of us, by the one Holy Spirit, words that help people know ⌊about God⌋.
