18:6a Then he placed garrisons in Aram of Damascus,

He ⌊then⌋ stationed ⌊his⌋ soldiers in the Aramean kingdom of Damascus.

18:6b and the Arameans became subject to David and brought him tribute.

The Arameans ⌊came⌋ under ⌊the rule of David⌋ and paid him tribute.

18:6c So the LORD made David victorious wherever he went.

Yahweh made David victorious everywhere he went.
