12:37a And from east of the Jordan, from Reuben, Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasseh there:

On the east side of the ⌊river⌋ Jordan lived the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and ⌊the other⌋ half of the tribe Manasseh.

Many soldiers from east of the ⌊river⌋ Jordan crossed over. They came from the tribes Reuben, Gad, and half of the tribe Manasseh.

12:37b 120,000 armed with every kind of weapon of war.

From these tribes came one hundred twenty thousand soldiers armed with all kinds of weapons.

There were one hundred and twenty thousand (120,000) men and they had all sorts of weapons with them.

From the east side of the Jordan river, there were one hundred twenty thousand (120,000) soldiers who knew how to use many different kinds of weapons. Those men belonged to the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and the other half tribe of Manasseh.
