20:12a And the tribes of Israel sent men throughout the tribe of Benjamin, saying,

The clans of Israel sent men all through the clan of Benjamin. They asked,

20:12b “What is this wickedness that has occurred among you?

“What do you (plur.) have to say about this terrible thing your people did?
