19:18a The Levite replied, “We are traveling from Bethlehem in Judah

The Levite replied, “We have come from Bethlehem in the land of Judah.

The Levi man told him that they had come from the town of Bethlehem in Judah.

19:18b to the remote hill country of Ephraim, where I am from.

We are going to a place far off in the hills of the clan of Ephraim, where I live.
-or-
They were going to his home in the mountain region of Ephraim, where he lived far from other people.

19:18c I went to Bethlehem in Judah,

I was just in Bethlehem of Judah.
-or-
They had come from Bethlehem in Judah

19:18d and now I am going to the house of the LORD;

Now I am on the way back to the house of Yahweh.
-or-
and were going to ⌊Shiloh where⌋ the house of Yahweh was.

19:18e but no one has taken me into his home,

⌊I am still in the gathering place because⌋ nobody has invited me into their house ⌊to spend the night⌋ .
-or-
Nobody had taken them into their house for the night.
