17:2a said to his mother,
told his mother:

17:2b “The eleven hundred shekels of silver that were taken from you
“One thousand one hundred (1,100) pieces of silver were stolen from you. (sing.)

“Someone stole thirteen (13) kilograms of silver from you.
17:2c and about which I heard you utter a curse—
I heard you put a curse ⌊on the person who stole it⌋ .
-or-
You cursed ⌊the person who did this⌋ and I heard you.
17:2d I have the silver here with me; I took it.”
It was me who took the silver. I still have it with me.”
-or-
I am the one who stole it. I still have the silver.”
17:2e Then his mother said, “Blessed be my son by the LORD!”
His mother said, “My son, may Yahweh bless you ⌊for admitting it to me⌋ .”

Then his mother asked Yahweh to bless him ⌊for telling her what he had done⌋ .
