9:21a Then Jotham ran away, escaping to Beer,

Then Jotham fled and took refuge in Beer town.

After Jotham said that he ran away to the town of Beer.

9:21b and he lived there for fear of his brother Abimelech.

He lived there to escape from his brother Abimelek.

He stayed there because he was afraid of Abimelek his brother.
