3:26a Ehud, however, had escaped while the servants waited.

While they were waiting, Ehud had escaped.

3:26b He passed by the idols and escaped to Seirah.

He passed the gods made of stone and went to where he was safe in Seirah.

He passed the stone idols and fled to the town of Seirah.
