17:12c Look, I am gathering a couple of sticks to take home

17:12d and prepare a meal for myself and my son,

so that I can prepare a meal for my son and me.

There I will cook, for my son and me, our (excl.) ⌊last⌋ meal.

17:12e so that we may eat it and die.”

We (excl.) will eat it and then we will die ⌊of hunger⌋.”
