12:21a And when Rehoboam arrived in Jerusalem,

When Rehoboam came to ⌊the city of⌋ Jerusalem,

Rehoboam reached Jerusalem ⌊city⌋.

12:21b he mobilized the whole house of Judah and the tribe of Benjamin—

he called together all ⌊the men of⌋ Judah and Benjamin.
-or-
He then summoned all ⌊the fighting men⌋ from ⌊the tribes of⌋ Judah and Benjamin.

12:21c 180,000 chosen warriors—

There were 180,000 good soldiers.
-or-
One hundred and eighty thousand (180,000) skilled warriors ⌊in total⌋ ⌊came/answered⌋.

12:21d to fight against the house of Israel

⌊Rehoboam called them⌋ in order to fight against the Israelites
-or-

⌊Rehoboam planned for them⌋ to go to war against ⌊the northern tribes of⌋ Israel

12:21e and restore the kingdom to Rehoboam son of Solomon.

and to bring back the whole kingdom ⌊of Israel⌋ under his rule/authority.
-or-
so that Rehoboam/he son of Solomon could once again rule over all ⌊the tribes of Israel⌋.
