8:27a But will God indeed dwell upon the earth?

“But can/do ⌊you⌋, God, really live on the earth? ⌊No.⌋

“But ⌊you,⌋ God, do not really live ⌊in this temple⌋ on earth!

8:27b Even heaven, the highest heaven, cannot contain You,

Look! The skies cannot contain/hold you, not even their most distant parts!
-or-
Indeed, you are bigger/greater than the whole/entire universe!

8:27c much less this temple I have built.

So how can this temple that I have built be big enough for you?

Certainly, this temple that I have built is too small for you!
