32:31a And so when ambassadors of the rulers of Babylon were sent to him to inquire about the wonder that had happened in the land,
The rulers of Babylon sent ambassadors to find out about the miracle that had happened in the land ⌊of Judah⌋.

The leaders of Babylon City sent people to find out about the miraculous thing that had occurred ⌊in Judah⌋.
32:31b God left him alone to test him, that He might know all that was in Hezekiah’s heart.
When this happened God left him alone to observe him. God wanted to know how he would react ⌊and if he would remain faithful to God⌋.

God was not with King Hezekiah ⌊to help him in this⌋. Instead God wanted to see ⌊if he was trustworthy⌋ and what he would do on his own.
