25:7a But a man of God came to him and said,

Then one of God’s prophets came to see the king. He said,

A servant of God came to visit King Amaziah. This is what he told him:

25:7b “O king, do not let the army of Israel go with you,

“O king, do (sing) not allow Israel’s soldiers to go with you ⌊and your soldiers⌋.
-or-
“King Amaziah, you must not take Israel’s army with you ⌊when you fight the enemy⌋.

25:7c for the LORD is not with Israel—not with any of the Ephraimites.

⌊Do not do this because⌋ Yahweh is not with the country of Israel or the clan of Ephraim.
-or-
Yahweh is not on the side of those people from Ephraim, nor is he on the side of Israel’s people.
