19:2a Jehu son of Hanani the seer went out to confront him

But Jehu the son of Hanani, who was a prophet, went to meet him.

⌊When King Jehoshaphat arrived in Jerusalem,⌋ Jehu the messenger of God went to see him. Jehu’s father’s name was Hanani.

19:2b and said to King Jehoshaphat,

He asked the king,

19:2c “Should you help the wicked

“Is it good to help wicked people

“You went to help a bad man. You did not do well.

19:2d and love those who hate the LORD?

and show love to those hate Yahweh?

⌊You became⌋ a friend of someone who is the enemy of Yahweh.

19:2e Because of this, the wrath of the LORD is upon you.

By doing this you have brought Yahweh’s anger on yourself.

Because of what you have done Yahweh is angry with you.
