9:31a And Solomon rested with his fathers

Solomon died and was buried with his ancestors.

9:31b and was buried in the city of his father David.

He was buried in the city of King David, his father.

and his people buried him. They buried him in the part of Jerusalem called the City of David.

9:31c And his son Rehoboam reigned in his place.

His son Rehoboam replaced him as king.
