27:6a This Benaiah was mighty among the Thirty

Benaiah was one of the thirty strong warriors ⌊in the time of King David⌋ .
-or-
He was ⌊known as⌋ a brave soldier among the ⌊famous group of⌋ thirty fighting men.

27:6b and was over the Thirty, and his son Ammizabad was in charge of his division.

He supervised the thirty strong warriors in addition to his ⌊twenty-four thousand⌋ fighting men. Benaiah’s son Ammizabad was second in command.

He was ⌊also⌋ chief/leader over the thirty fighting men. Benaiah was the father of Ammizabad who led his father’s troop ⌊of twenty-four thousand (24,000) soldiers⌋ .
