21:18a Then the angel of the LORD ordered Gad to tell David

Then the angel of Yahweh commanded ⌊the prophet⌋ Gad to speak to ⌊King⌋ David.

After that Yahweh sent his angel to Gad ⌊and commanded him⌋ , “Go and speak to David.

21:18b to go up and build an altar to the LORD on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

⌊He/the angel, told David⌋ to go to the threshing place of the Jebusite Araunah/Ornan. There David should build an altar, ⌊that is a sacred construction made of natural stones to worship⌋ Yahweh.

‘Tell him, “Go(sing) up to the place where Ornan from ⌊the town called⌋ Jebus beats out his grain. There you must build an altar to ⌊worship⌋ Yahweh.’”
