10:11a When the people of Jabesh-gilead heard

All the people who lived in Jabesh in the Gilead region heard (Translation for Translators)

⌊People came and⌋ spoke to all the inhabitants of ⌊the Israelite town⌋ Jabesh-gilead.

10:11b about everything the Philistines had done to Saul,

what the Philistines had done to Saul’s ⌊dead body⌋ .

⌊They told them⌋ what the Philistines had done to Saul.
