Exegesis:
tines tōn parestēkoton (cf. 14.47) ‘some of the bystanders,’ ‘certain of those standing there.’
ide (cf. 2.24) ‘look!,’ ‘see!,’ ‘notice!’
Translation:
Hearing it said may require some recasting as ‘when some of those standing by heard what he said, they said….’
Behold must often be changed to ‘listen,’ ‘hear.’
Calling may be understood as ‘calling to’ or ‘calling for,’ not merely ‘calling out the name of.’
