Therefore you shall no more see delusive visions nor practice divination: Because the female prophets misled the people so badly, God will stop them doing what they had been doing. For delusive visions and divination, see verses 6-7.

I will deliver my people out of your hand: By stopping the activity of the women, God will rescue his people from their power. Good News Translation provides a helpful model here, saying “I am rescuing my people from your power.”

Then you will know that I am the LORD: See Ezek 13.9. The women will recognize God when he punishes them and rescues his people from them.

A model for verses 22-23 is:

• 22 You women have told lies and discouraged honest people even though I did not wish to cause these people any pain. And you have given evil people encouragement to continue with their evil. They don’t think they need to change their evil ways and save their lives. 23 Because you have done this, here is what will happen. You are no longer going to give misleading visions and make false predictions. I will free my people from your power, and then you will recognize that I am Yahweh.”
