The Greek and Hebrew that is translated as “murmur,” “complain,” “whisper,” or similar in English is translated in these verses in the Catholic Mandarin Chinese Sigao version with a historical Chinese idiom: qièqiè sīyì (竊竊私議 / 窃窃私议) or “whisper privately.” (Source: Toshikazu S.
