Four tables were on the inside, and four tables on the outside of the side of the gate, eight tables, on which the sacrifices were to be slaughtered: This verse summarizes the information given in the previous two verses (see the comments there). There were a total of eight tables at each inner gateway, four inside and four outside the doorway. Translators may shorten or omit this verse if such repetition is awkward and unnatural in their language.
