Like fire and incense in the censer: For incense see 45.16. A censer is a vessel that contains incense as it is being burned in worship. For this line Good News Translation “like burning incense” is sufficient.

Like a vessel of hammered gold adorned with all kinds of precious stones: The Greek does not specify a particular kind of vessel, but Good News Translation “cup” is a good choice. The cup was hammered into shape from pure gold. This was not a vessel plated with gold. An alternative model for this line is “like a cup that they have hammered out of gold and decorated with all kinds of jewels.”
