Translation commentary on Psalm 64:10

The last verse can be taken as a statement of fact (Good News Translation and most others) or as an exhortation (Revised Standard Version). This verse replaces the standard promise by the psalmist in a psalm like this to thank God (see 59.17) or to offer sacrifices to him (see 61.8).

“Because of what the LORD has done” represents in the LORD. The verb translated take refuge is the same one used in 2.12; and upright in heart (as in 11.2) is synonymous with the righteous in line a.
