As Moses commanded: by adding two words to the Hebrew text, some versions give a different meaning. New American Bible, for example, has “in keeping with the LORD’s command to Moses,” and New Jerusalem Bible says “as Yahweh had ordered Moses,” making the LORD the subject of the verb “command.” But this is rejected by HOTTP and by the majority of English versions.
