Was cut: this passive formulation may be transformed to an active expression with Moses as the subject of the verb. But as in the previous verse, it is possible that Aaron is the implied subject here.
Entrails: see 1.9.
The legs: as in 1.9 and 7.32, this refers to the hind legs of the animal.
An offering by fire: that is, a food offering. See 1.9.
Note that Good News Translation has restructured these two verses, making the end of the verse a kind of summary statement.
