This verse constitutes a final conclusion to the chapter. But see the remarks on verses 38 and 39.

Thus: in some languages it may be better to begin “This is how Moses explained to the people of Israel….”

The appointed feasts: see verse 2. But Good News Translation makes this more explicit by adding “the regulations for observing….” This may be helpful in many other languages.

Of the LORD: meaning “to honor the LORD,” as in Good News Translation.
