Translation commentary on Leviticus 22:8

The word order in this verse in the original, as reflected in Revised Standard Version, may be very unnatural and require restructuring in many languages. Compare 7.24 and 17.15 on the expressions meaning “to die a natural death” and “to be killed by wild animals.”
