As stated earlier, the subsection including verses 11-28 provides a more detailed view of the ceremony which is briefly described in verses 6-10. Some translators may wish to add a section heading here along the lines of New English Bible “The ceremonies of the day of atonement,” or possibly “How to make sacrifices for the day of atonement.”

The first part of this verse repeats word-for-word the description in verse 6 above. But since the context is different, it is not necessarily required that the translation be identical here. Naturalness in the receptor language should determine whether or not there is any difference.

The wording of Revised Standard Version is awkward and repetitious, since it follows the Hebrew very closely. This verse actually sets the stage for the following one. This is why Good News Translation has made it a relative clause, “When…,” indicating that this is not a second sacrifice, but that the single event is being further described. Translators should be careful not to give the impression that the same bull is sacrificed a second time or that another bull is sacrificed. This is simply a more detailed description of the same event.

And for his house: that is, for his family. See verse 6.
