Keep on, and see how his mighty power will torture you and your descendants!: The fifth brother tells the king to continue torturing his family, but then he warns the king that God will torture him and his descendants. For Keep on, Good News Bible has “Just wait,” which is good idiomatic English, but will make a poor model. A better model is “Go ahead and torture us!” The whole verse may be rendered as follows:

• Go on! Torture us! But God will use his great power to torture you, and your descendants as well! You’ll see!”
